Former Michigan State defensive back Khari Willis is really trying to prove he’s worthy of being selected in the fourth-round of the 2019 NFL Draft. So far, he’s done a pretty good job.
In the Indianapolis Colts’ second preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, the rookie out of Michigan State led the team’s defensive efforts. He finished the contest with four tackles, all of which were solo stops.
That total was a team high for the contest.

Willis has racked up plenty of stops through the first two preseason contests. In the opener against Buffalo, the safety registered five total tackles, with four being solo stops. Through two games he’s registered nine tackles, eight solo — a team high.
Not too shabby for a rookie.
Last season at Michigan State, Willis tallied 84 tackles, 10 pass break-ups and two interceptions. He’s still working on recording that first NFL interception.
