A quarterback that spent 3 seasons in Columbus is on the move.
JP Andrade originally joined Ohio State as a walk-on member of the 2019 recruiting class. A QB out of California, Andrade entered the transfer portal after the first of the year.
On Wednesday, Andrade announced his move via the portal is going to be to Jackson State where Deion Sanders is the head coach.
“Lord, let them see more of you and less of me. Committed to Jackson State University,” wrote Andrade in his announcement. “Let’s get to work!”

Andrade will join a Jackson State program under Sanders that has put in some strong work in the portal and on the recruiting front. Jackson State holds commitments from a pair of top-50 prospects for 2022, including the No. 1 overall prospect in the country in 5-star DB Travis Hunter.
Add in 8 transfers from Power 5 programs this offseason and will be interesting to see how Andrade and the Tigers look in the fall.
