Manny Bowen left the program before the 2018 season got underway. The linebacker had been an on-again, off-again player for Penn State dating back to last season.
He had no problem mocking his former team in a blowout loss on Saturday, though. At one point in the Nittany Lions 42-7 loss, Bowen tweeted out two laughing emojis, seemingly a shot at PSU’s performance in Ann Arbor.
There was no text with the tweet.

Bowen played in nine games for the Nittany Lions last season but was suspended for the team’s final four contests for a violation of team rules. The reason behind the suspension wasn’t mentioned.
It wasn’t until the summer when Bowen rejoined the team, but his second stint lasted less than a month. He decided to leave the program shortly before the 2018 campaign kicked off.
Bowen tallied 51 tackles and 3.5 stops for loss last season. He would’ve been a senior with the Lions this fall.
Bowen’s former teammates probably aren’t going to appreciate his message.
