The college personnel advisory board has given Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins a first round projection for the upcoming NFL Draft, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortenson.

Haskins, who still hasn’t made a decision on his future, is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks available if he declares for the 2019 NFL Draft. That’s not too surprising given the incredible season he had with the Buckeyes.

Mortenson also reported that Haskins is still discussing his options. The plan is still to play in the Rose Bowl and make a decision after the game.

Haskins was the nation’s leader in passing yards (4,580) and passing touchdowns (47). He also accounted for four rushing scores on the season. The Buckeyes finished the year 12-1, winning the B1G title.

With Haskins under center, Ohio State had one of the most prolific passing offenses in the country. And now that Ryan Day will take over as head coach after the Rose Bowl, the Buckeyes will likely continue down that path in the future.

Though many have said that Haskins could benefit from another year in Columbus, it’s hard to imagine his draft stock would get much higher. That’s likely the reason for the hesitation from the quarterback.

Haskins’ decision is likely to have a massive impact on the future of Ohio State’s quarterback situation. Georgia quarterback Justin Fields is looking into transferring out of Athens and it’s reported that Columbus could be a likely destination.

Ohio State will take on Washington in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
