Ezekiel Elliott’s lone snap at center generates reaction for disastrous outcome

Ezekiel Elliott lit up social media late Sunday night, but it was not for a reason that will make Dallas Cowboys fans happy.

Late in Sunday’s playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Cowboys faced one last desperation play needing to cover the majority of the field for a game-tying touchdown. Knowing it would take a miracle, Dallas lined up in a wild formation that was clearly set up for some tricks after the snap.

Part of that formation included lining Elliott up over the ball as the center and the only offensive lineman in formation for the Cowboys. Needless to say, the outcome was disastrous with Elliott getting blown up by Azeez Al-Shaair immediately after the snap and the 49ers getting a quick tackle after the pass.

That type of play design and epic failure ignited social media with others also noting that could prove to be Elliott’s final play as a Cowboy with offseason questions lingering. Take a look:
