Ezekiel Elliott’s six-game suspension has been upheld by the arbiter reviewing the situation, according to reports.

NFL appeals officer Harold Henderson said he would have a decision on Elliott’s appeal by the end of the day on Tuesday, a week after the appeals hearing took place. After review, Henderson decided to uphold the suspension.

Elliott was suspended for six games for his involvement in a domestic violence situation in the summer of 2016. After the NFL handed down the suspension, the Cowboys running back decided he would appeal the ruling.

There have been several strange twists in the Elliott case, but there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the league’s ruling.
