The on-again, off-again suspension for Dallas Cowboys running back and former Ohio State star Ezekiel Elliott is getting exhausting.

On Monday night, Elliott’s motion for a preliminary injunction was rejected by a federal judge, which means his six-game suspension, which was levied by the NFL back in August, was reinstated. The running back was suspended for his involvement in a domestic violence incident that occurred in 2016.

The suspension is expect to take place immediately.

The court ruled that the NFL’s investigation and arbitration was fair. Elliott and the NFL Players Association has been fighting the suspension since the ruling was handed down in August.

Elliott led the NFL in rushing yardage last season and currently has 690 yards and six touchdowns this year. In two seasons with the Cowboys, Elliott has rushed for 2,321 yards and 23 touchdowns.

This likely won’t be the last time that the always-changing decision on Elliott’s ruling will be in the news, but for now, it appears that the star running back will have to miss six games this season, despite playing the first half of the season.
