Family Affair: Jace Howard, son of Juwan Howard, commits to Michigan

The son of Michigan head coach Juwan Howard will be following his father to Ann Arbor.

Monday night, Jace Howard announced via Twitter that he will be committing to the University of Michigan to play college basketball. His father was hired to be the head coach of the Wolverines ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Howard becomes the fifth member of Michigan’s 2020 recruiting class, which ranks fourth nationally and first in the B1G.

Howard, listed as a 6-foot-7 small forward, is a three-star prospect in the 2020 class, per 247Sports. He’s ranked as the No. 250 overall player in the cycle.

Howard held five total offers during the recruiting process, including Michigan. Other programs showing interest were Dayton, Northern Illinois, St. Louis and San Diego State.

Michigan’s 2020 recruiting class has one five-star prospect, as well as three four-star prospects, in addition to Howard.
