Family of Bengals rookie Sam Hubbard orders ‘unprecedented’ number of custom jerseys

It looks like Cincinnati Bengals rookie DE Sam Hubbard already has quite the fanbase.
The former Ohio State Buckeye was taken by the Bengals in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft to boost their pass rush. While he has yet to take a snap in the NFL, his family and friends have already shown their support for the young defender by ordering an impressive number of customized jerseys.
Mike Dyer with WCPO News in Cincinnati reported that Hubbard’s family and friends have ordered 164 custom jerseys with Hubbard’s name and number on them. The large order is attributed in part to the coordination of Sam’s sister Madison and the fact that Hubbard will stay at home in the state of Ohio for his NFL debut.
Dyer shared that the sheer volume of the order was labeled as “unprecedented” by Monty Montague, the Bengals Pro Shop Merchandise Manager. Dyer also shared that the large number of jerseys ordered did not surprise Sam’s sister Madison:
“To be honest I knew the order would be huge,” Madison Hubbard said. “Everyone who has ever met Sam loves him.”
Hubbard finished his Ohio State career with 17.0 sacks and 30.0 tackles for loss.
