As the midpoint of the college football season nears, the true Heisman contenders are beginning to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. The odds for the trophy have now been released and the names on the list likely will not change drastically for the rest of the season.

To nobody’s surprise, 8 out of the top 10 players in the odds are quarterbacks, but the biggest riser has been Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs after a 200-yard, 2-touchdown performance against Arkansas. Gibbs has been a dynamic playmaker in a Bama offense that was in desperate need of one.

One of the biggest surprises on the list, however, is Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez, who after a disappointing tenure at Nebraska, has come into his own as the dual-threat playmaker he was expected to be.

There are currently 2 B1G players in the odds. Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud has the highest odds by a considerable margin at +150 as he leads one of the most high-powered offenses in college football right now. Michigan running back Blake Corum sits at No. 6 as the highest running back on the list. Corum leads the country in rushing touchdowns and is 4th in yards.

Here’s a look at the full top-10:

  1. C.J. Stroud +150
  2. Caleb Williams +400
  3. Bryce Young +900
  4. Hendon Hooker +1400
  5. Stetson Bennett +1600
  6. Blake Corum +1800
  7. Jahmyr Gibbs +2200
  8. D.J. Uiagalelei +2500
  9. Jalon Daniels +2500
  10. Drake Maye +3300
