Not a lot of people may have picked Purdue to win the Phil Knight Legacy tournament. The Boilermakers stunned the top ranked Duke Blue Devils 75-56 on Sunday.

Something that was uncertain about this Purdue team was how they would look with the loss of former star Jaden Ivey, who now plays for the Detroit Pistons. However, Zach Edey and company were lights out.

Edey finished the game with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists. Other top scorers for the Boilermakers were Fletcher Loyer (18 points) and Caleb Furst (11 points).

Before beating Duke, the Boilermakers got wins over West Virginia and Gonzaga. Fans and media members were gushing about the team that Matt Painter has built in West Lafayette. Some of them even were clamoring for Purdue to ranked No. 1 in the country.

Even Ivey made sure to praise his former team.
