Michigan is making UConn look silly early on in the game. The Wolverines’ offense has exploded for 38 first half points with time still left to play.
On the flip side, UConn can’t get anything going and it’s seeming like the game is going to end in blowout fashion.
Running back Blake Corum got things started just two minutes into the game with a 20-yard touchdown run, and then followed it up later in the first quarter with a 1-yard run to cap off a 54-yard drive.
This offense feels a bit more like typical Michigan offense today. More running TDs.
I think the QB battle had them tossing the pigskin a bit more.
I’m ok with it, cuz with JJ at the helm, both the run and the pass will be dynamic.— Travis J (@travis_jones11) September 17, 2022
Jake Moody then nailed a 26-yard field goal to continue the scoring.
The Corum show continued in the second quarter, as he punched in another 1-yard touchdown run.
Even Michigan’s special teams got in on the action, as AJ Henning returned a punt 61 yards to score.
Corum got his fourth touchdown of the game in the second quarter on a 1-yard run that capped of a 60-yard drive, giving Michigan a 38-0 lead.
Feels like Michigan offense is off a little today and they’re on pace for 600 yards.

Michigan makes offense look easy when JJ McCarthy is in at quarterback (and also when they're playing Hawaii and UConn).

Michigan's running game is really good…we know this. But having a QB who is more of a threat to stretch the field is going to help that running game get even better.
It really is insane how much JJ changes this offense.

Being a Michigan fan on Twitter means complaining about two 3-and-outs by the offense while leading UConn 24-0

This is a Michigan offense I’ve been waiting to see since Lloyd retired. Fast, explosive at the skill positions, a dual-threat QB who consistently makes reads and looks downfield. I’m in love.

These three preseason games were fun, but I can’t wait for Michigan to play meaningful games. Something is special about their offense with 9 running the show. #GoBlue
