The ten conferences that participate at the FBS level of college football, as well as the television networks, have announced a delay in the announcement of kickoff times for the 2020 season. The continued uncertainty revolving around the COVID-19 pandemic is the reason for the postponement.
On Tuesday, the B1G released a statement on the decision.
“Collectively, the conferences and television networks have agreed to an extension for determining college football’s early season game times beyond the standard June 1 deadline,” the statement read. “These kickoff times and network designations will be announced at a later date as we all continue to prepare for the college football season.”
Typically, the June 1 deadline would result in the release of kickoff times for most games through the first three weeks of the season, with start times for other games throughout the year potentially being included.
A new date has not yet been announced.
