The final AP Top 25 Poll for the 2022 college football season was released coming out of Monday’s national title game.
With a steamrolling performance, Georgia captured its second straight title by taking down TCU. The Bulldogs land the No. 1 overall spot once again under Kirby Smart while TCU finishes the year at No. 2.
The rest of the top four was rounded out by Michigan at No. 3 and Ohio State at No. 4. Though the Buckeyes nearly took down Georgia in the Peach Bowl, the Wolverines still hold the head-to-head matchup with the big win in The Game.
Penn State moved up to No. 7 on the final poll to give the Nittany Lions a top-10 finish under James Franklin. It is the first for the program since a No. 9 ranking following the 2019 season.
No other B1G program landed in the top 25 but the conference did have five teams in the “others receiving votes” section.
