Indiana football takes an undefeated record into Happy Valley for a matchup that was expected to have a little more weight to it earlier this season. On Saturday morning, ESPN’s Pete Thamel gave Indiana some good news ahead of their Week 11 battle vs. Penn State.

For starters, LB Aiden Fisher is set to be good to go against the Nittany Lions. Elijah Sarratt, however, is still a game-time decision after being considered day-to-day all week. Keep in mind that both players were listed ‘probable’ heading into last week’s game against Maryland.

Fisher last played on October 25 during Indiana’s dominant win over UCLA. He recorded just 1 tackle and left the game early for “precautionary” reasons, according to coach Curt Cignetti. After missing last week against Maryland, the star LB is set to return — which will be a major boon against a great Penn State run game.

So far this season, Fisher has totaled 47 tackles (20 solo) with 2.5 sacks and 1 interception, which he returned for a touchdown against UCLA.

A hamstring injury took Sarratt out of the Maryland matchup, and those injuries are definitely nothing to fool around with. Especially for a guy like Sarratt, who has been Indiana’s best receiver this season with 606 yards and 10 touchdowns through the first 10 weeks of the season.

Penn State’s pass defense is still a solid unit despite the Nittany Lions’ poor record, so Sarratt’s status is obviously a major story to watch as we near kickoff at Noon ET.
