Finalists for Manning Award released

The list of finalists for the Manning Award has officially been announced.
On Thursday, 11 quarterbacks were listed as finalists for the Manning Award. There was just one gunslinger out of the B1G mentioned on the list, Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins.
The Manning Award is presented to the top quarterback in college football. It is the only quarterback award that takes bowl performance into consideration. A winner will not be announced until the bowl season has come to a conclusion.
Here’s the full list of finalists:
- Ian Book, Notre Dame
- Jake Fromm, Georgia
- Will Grier, West Virginia
- Dwayne Haskins, Ohio State
- D’Eriq King, Houston
- Trevor Lawrence, Clemson
- Drew Lock, Missouri
- McKenzie Milton, UCF
- Gardner Minshew, Washington State
- Kyler Murray, Oklahoma
- Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama
Haskins, Tagovailoa and Murray are all in the Heisman Trophy conversation as well.
The 2017 winner was Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield. A B1G quarterback has never won the award.
