Jim Harbaugh doesn’t give up on players he really wants, even if they’ve verbally committed elsewhere.

This past weekend, bringing five-star offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood to campus appeared to pay off.

On Monday evening, the offensive tackle from Booker T. Washington High School in Florida sent out a tweet about his visit to Ann Arbor on Saturday. With the fourth-ranked Wolverines hosting No. 8 Wisconsin, Leatherwood got to see a pretty good football game and enjoy an exciting atmosphere. It’s safe to say he was impressed with the Big House:

Leatherwood, who is ranked as the No. 2 player in Florida, the No. 2 offensive tackle, and the No. 5 overall recruit according to 247Sports, had verbally committed to Alabama in June 2015. He’s a 6-foot-6, 327-pound enforcer that Harbaugh would love to have along his offensive front.

We’ll see if Leatherwood visits Ann Arbor again soon and if he stays committed to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide when National Signing Day approaches.
