B1G basketball is in for a tall challenge this season, and that challenge will be figuring out a way to slow down a potent Purdue squad. Leonard Hamilton’s Florida State squad experienced that challenge as a part of the B1G/ACC Challenge.
On Tuesday, Hamilton and the Seminoles traveled to West Lafayette to face Matt Painter and company. And in fairness, Florida State did not play terribly on the offensive side of the ball. Unfortunately for the Seminoles, it did not matter because Purdue continued its efficient streak of basketball.
At the end of the game, 5 Boilermakers had scored in double figures, Purdue had hit 90 points once again, the team shot 59.3% from the floor and posted 23 assists for 35 made field goals. Oh, the Boilermakers also had 5 blocks and 5 steals on the defensive side of the court.
After the game, Hamilton could not stop saying positive things about Purdue. He admitted the Boilermakers look every bit of a Final Four team while praising Purdue’s depth and the work of Jaden Ivey.
