Former 5-star recruit, Maryland LB transferring to Group of 5 program

The Maryland program has had quite a busy Monday after last week’s bowl win. It has had players announcing transfer decisions, draft decisions, and players announce they are staying in the program.

Former Maryland LB Terrence Lewis has committed to UCF after spending last season with the Terps. He did not play this season due to multiple injuries in the spring. The Knights are getting a former 5-star recruit to help out in the LB department.

Lewis was a former 5-star recruit coming out of Opa Locka, FL.; he was the No. 21 player in the nation, No. 5 player in the state of FL and No. 1 LB in the class of 2021, according to 247sports Composite Rankings.

Maryland this season was 6-6 and 3-6 in B1G play, and finished 5th in the B1G East behind the big 4 of Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and Penn State.

Maryland finished the season on a high note, defeating Virginia Tech 54-10 in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, giving head coach Mike Locksley his first winning season. The Terrapins finished the year 7-6.
