Former Boilermaker signs 3-year deal with Atlanta Falcons

Former Purdue safety Ricardo Allen earned a contract extension this offseason, signing a three-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons announced that they had come to an agreement with Allen regarding a three-year contract extension. Though the team didn’t provide any figures, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the deal was worth $19.5 million.

Allen was selected in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Falcons. In four seasons with the franchise, the safety has registered 212 tackles and six interceptions while starting 45 games.
Allen played at Purdue from 2010 through 2013, racking up 250 tackles and 13 interceptions in four years. He also totaled four pick-sixes during his time in West Lafayette.
