Former Buckeye center Josh Myers receives major praise from Aaron Rodgers

The relationship between a center and quarterback is pretty important on the football field. It sounds like things are going pretty well for Pro Bowler Aaron Rodgers and rookie Josh Myers early in training camp.
Myers, a rookie out of Ohio State, is receiving some major praise from Rodgers in the early portion of training camp. The quarterback told NFL Network that the new center in Green Bay is really standing out.
“I gotta say the center, Josh Myers (stands out most),” Rodgers told NFL Network. “For a guy to come in as a draft pick, as a rookie, to be that comfortable, it’s pretty impressive.”
Myers, an All-B1G and All-American selection following Ohio State’s 7-1 campaign in 2020, was a second-round selection by the Packers. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound center played in 31 games for the Buckeyes and started each of the final 21 contests in Columbus.
Vying for an immediate role along the offensive line, especially for a future Hall of Fame quarterback, can be an intimidating experience for anyone. It sounds like Myers is handling it with poise and confidence.
We’ll see what that means for his on-field performance as a rookie with the Packers.
