Former Ohio State Buckeye and current New York Giant corner Eli Apple’s rough season is over.
On Wednesday, the Giants announced they have suspended the former first round pick for “conduct detrimental to the team,” keeping the 22-year-old off the field for the final game of his sophomore season, Sunday vs. the Redskins.

Although his season came to a merciful end, Apple’s 2017 season is something to forget about.
Apple got in some hot water after retweeting a video of Cowboys’ running back Rod Smith burning the Giants for a touchdown during the actual game, which is against the NFL’s social media policy. Plus, he was recently called a “cancer” by teammate Landon Collins on the radio. So, at the moment, tensions look rough between Apple and New York.
