Former Buckeye football star Jerry Krall passes away at 92

Former Ohio State running back Jerry Krall has passed away at the age of 92, the Toledo Blade reported on Thursday.
Krall was a four-year letterman at Ohio State and had an incredible finish to his football career in Columbus. In his final year in 1949, Krall led the Buckeyes in rushing, passing and receiving. He was also the team’s leading rusher in the 1950 Rose Bowl Game.
According to the Toledo Blade, Krall was torn between choosing Ohio State or Michigan out of high school, so he flipped a coin to make his decision. It worked out pretty well for both Krall and the Buckeyes.
After his college days, Krall had a short career in the NFL, playing for the Detroit Lions and Chicago Cardinals before retiring.
Krall passed away on Sunday peacefully, according to his obituary in the Toledo Blade.
