Former Gopher Tyler Johnson makes ridiculous one-handed grab during Bucs’ joint practice

Tyler Johnson captured a Super Bowl ring as a rookie in 2020, and the former Minnesota Gopher is coming on strong during the preseason for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Johnson landed with Tampa Bay as a 5th round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, Johnson was a member of a loaded offensive unit that was led by quarterback Tom Brady.
The end result was a limited amount of touches for Johnson’s rookie season. He finished with 12 catches for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns during the regular season but he is looking to break through with a bigger role in his second season.
Though Tampa Bay is returning most of its roster from that Super Bowl-winning team, Johnson is doing his best to play his way onto the field more often. The latest example came with a spinning, one-handed grab during a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans.

That catch is already the second amazing grab for Johnson this preseason. He started training camp with another ridiculous catch, showing that he still has elite hands despite a reduced load as a rookie.
Hopefully, he’ll get more looks as he tries to work his way into regular playing time in Year 2.
