Former Iowa forward/center Jack Nunge has announced his transfer destination.

Per his account on Instagram, Nunge has committed to Xavier to finish his career in college basketball. He entered the NCAA transfer portal following the 2020-21 season. Though he spent four years at Iowa, Nunge will still have two years of eligibility remaining.

Nunge’s season ended early last year, suffering an injury in a late February loss to Michigan. He didn’t return for the Hawkeyes for the remainder of the season, playing in 22 games before being ruled out.

In those 22 games, Nunge averaged 7.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting over 44% from the floor. He played in just five games during the 2019-20 season and missed all of the 2018-19 campaign at Iowa.

Nunge played in 33 games and made 14 starts at Iowa during the 2017-18 campaign. He averaged 5.7 points and 2.8 rebounds that year.

Last season, Xavier ended the season with a 13-8 record and finished 6-7 in the Big East. The Musketeers did not appear in the postseason.
