Tommy Armstrong Jr. made a huge splash in his return to the state of Nebraska.
On Saturday, Armstrong made his Indoor Football League (IFL) debut with the Nebraska Danger, and he put together a tremendous performance. The former Husker threw four touchdown passes while completing eight of his 12 pass attempts in the contest. He also rushed for one touchdown in a 66-44 win over the Bismarck Bucks.
Armstrong finished the game with 181 total yards and accounted for five scores. For his efforts, Armstrong was named the Player of the Game. The Danger are 1-0 on the year.

Armstrong was at Nebraska from 2012-16, throwing for 8,871 yards and 67 touchdowns in his career. He also rushed for 1,819 yards and 23 more scores.
Following his career with the Huskers, Armstrong went undrafted but joined the Minnesota Vikings through the summer months of 2017. He was later waived by the team.
But Armstrong’s return to Nebraska is off to a great start. He certainly seems comfortable playing in the state that brought him so much recognition.
