The goal of making an NFL roster has been put on hold for a former Nebraska receiver.
Tuesday morning, Joe Schad reported that ex-Huskers receiver Jordan Westerkamp had been waived by the Miami Dolphins. He was signed by the Dolphins just over a month ago.

Westerkamp went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft but was dedicated to making a professional roster this season.
While at Nebraska, Westerkamp was the team’s leading receiver in 2015 and 2016, and ranked second in 2014. He wrapped up his career with 167 catches for 2,474 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The best season for Westerkamp came in 2015, when he hauled in 65 passes for 918 yards and seven touchdowns.
