A former Indiana football player and his brother have been charged with murder in connection to a Tennessee stabbing, according to reports.

Officers with the Indiana University Police Department booked Camion Patrick in the Monroe County correctional complex. He is being held on a homicide charge, Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star reported.

Patrick’s brother, Isaiah Wright, was arrested in Kingston, Tenn. on Wednesday as well.

Both have been connected to the death of an 18-year-old from Maryville, Tenn., who had been stabbed multiple times on the night of July 25. The specific charges for each brother was unclear.

Patrick came to Indiana out of East Mississippi Community College (Last Chance U) and was a member of the Hoosiers’ football program in 2015 and 2016. Injuries plagued Patrick for most of his career and, before the 2017 season started, he was granted a medical hardship which ended his college football career.

Former Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson once raved that Patrick was the best player on the team, but the Hoosiers never really got to utilize his talents due to the constant injuries.

Wright was expected to be just as talented and was one of the featured players in the most recent season of the hit docu-series Last Chance U.
