Former Iowa, current Dallas linebacker Anthony Hitchens out for the 2017

According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, former Iowa Hawkeye and current Dallas Cowboy starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens will more than likely miss the 2017 season.
On Saturday during Dallas’ preseason game against the Oakland Raiders, Hitchens suffered a torn ACL with 19 seconds left in the first half.
Hitchens started every game last year for the Cowboys and was credited for 104 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, five quarterback pressures and two pass breakups.
Due to this injury, Dallas may move former Penn State linebacker Sean Lee or go with Jaylon Smith in the middle.
UPDATE:
Originally, it was perceived that Hitchens tore his ACL. That is in fact not the case.
Instead, Hitchens will only be out eight weeks with a knee fracture.
