Former Michigan basketball player Kendric Price was reportedly killed in a Boston-area shooting early Saturday morning, according to a report from Boston 25 News.
According to the report, police responded to reports of a person being shot in Dorchester around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. The victim was identified as Price and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Price was a member of the Michigan basketball team from 2005-07. He was a native of the Boston area, attending Buckingham Browne & Nichols for high school before heading to Ann Arbor.
Price was in his first season as an assistant coach for the UMass Boston men’s basketball team.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting at this time.
