Former Michigan and current Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark ran into some trouble with law enforcement on Sunday.

The Detroit News is reporting that Clark was arrested in Los Angeles on Sunday night after police saw a submachine gun in his car. He was pulled over for a vehicle violation when “officers noticed a bag with an Uzi sticking out.”

Clark was then arrested on suspicion of having a concealed firearm. He was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail. He was released on Monday after posting $35,000 bond.

The NFL released a statement following the arrest.

“We are aware of the matter which will be reviewed under the NFL’s personal conduct policy,” league spokesman Brian McCarthy said.

Clark was a second-round selection out of Michigan in 2015 NFL Draft, going No. 63 overall to the Seattle Seahawks. He spent four seasons with the franchise before joining the Chiefs in 2019. He’s a two-time Pro Bowl selection and a Super Bowl champion.
