Former Michigan basketball standout Moussa Diabate earned the G-League Player of the Week last week.

Diabate, who was drafted in the second round of last year’s NBA Draft, dropped 25 points and 23 rebounds on Thursday and posted another 20-20 game on Saturday with 24 points and 20 rebounds for the Los Angeles Clippers’ G-League affiliate.

He is currently on a two-way contract, meaning he can rotate time between the NBA and the G-League. If Diabate can keep up that level of production, he is sure to get his name called up to the NBA in no time.

Diabate spent just one season with the Wolverines where he averaged 9 points per game and 6 rebounds per game. He has played in 6 NBA game so far this season, averaging 3.8 points per game and 3.7 rebounds.

Diabate was a former 5-star PF per the 247Sports Composite. He chose Michigan over Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, and Florida State. Diabate was also the No. 5 ranked player at his position and No. 3 prospect from Florida in the 2021 class.
