Tuesday was a career night for former Michigan basketball star Caris LeVert.

In Tuesday night’s Eastern Conference matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics, LeVert posted a new career-high point total, scoring 51 points in the game to lead the Nets to a 129-120 overtime victory over the Celtics. He scored 37 of those points in the fourth quarter and in overtime.

LeVert scored those 51 points on 17-of-26 shooting, including 5-of-10 from three-point range. He also dished five assists and grabbed four rebounds in the victory for the Nets.

LeVert was a first-round selection in the 2016 NBA Draft. Though he was selected by the Indiana Pacers, he has played his entire professional career with the Nets.

This season, LeVert is averaging 17.3 points per game, good enough for the third-best average on the team. He’s also averaging 3.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds per contest. The Nets are 27-33 this season, currently good enough for the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
