Michael Onwenu’s NFL career is off to a solid start through the first three weeks of the season. Pro Football Focus (PFF) has graded the former Michigan offensive lineman pretty highly after a trio of games.
Per PFF’s grading, Onwenu is the highest-rated offensive rookie in the NFL through the first three weeks of the 2020 campaign. His 87.6 grade edges out former LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson (85.3) and ex-Louisville offensive lineman Mekhi Becton (76.9).
Onwenu is looking more and more like a steal for the New England Patriots, who selected the former Wolverine in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Onwenu has started all three games for the Patriots, who are off to a 2-1 start this season.
At Michigan, Onwenu played in 46 games with 35 career starts. He was a two-time selection to the All-B1G third-team (2018 & 2019) as an offensive lineman. He was a part of Michigan teams that won 37 games.
Onwenu will be back in action this weekend when New England plays Kansas City.
