Former Michigan player Nate Johnson sentenced to 4 days in jail

According to the Detroit Free Press, former Michigan defensive back and wide receiver Nate Johnson has been sentenced to four days in jail and six months probation Friday after his guilty plea on a misdemeanor assault and battery charge.
The charge comes from an incident in the early morning hours of Sept. 30 when University of Michigan housing security officers found a female reporting an assault outside of a South Quad residence hall. Michigan public safety and security officers eventually located Johnson, placed him under arrest and took him to jail. Johnson was suspended that day and was later dismissed from the program on Oct. 4.
Johnson came to Michigan as a receiver in 2016 before switching to cornerback.
