The former Wolverine appeared in 46 games at Michigan between 2013 and 2016, recording 19 sacks over his career. Charlton earned All-Big Ten honors in his senior breakout season, and accumulated an impressive 9.5 sacks. Charlton finished his senior season with with 43 tackles (13 for loss), as well as two pass breakups.
Charlton hasn’t yet been able to mimic his collegiate career successes in the NFL. The former Wolverine was selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Charlton also spent time with the Dolphins, Chiefs, and Steelers, before being picked up earlier this year by the Saints. Despite a sack against the Packers in Week 2 of the preseason, five total pressures, and three stops, the Saints determined that it was not enough to keep Charlton on the roster.
Hopefully the next NFL home for Charlton will be more Taco friendly.
