Former Michigan State guard, Fred Hoiberg’s son announces transfer destination

A week after entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal, former Michigan State guard Jack Hoiberg has announced his next stop.
Wednesday, Hoiberg announced that he will be continuing his college career at the University of Texas-Arlington. He makes the decision after spending the past four seasons at Michigan State. He began his career as a walk-on member of the Spartans before earning a scholarship ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Redshirting his first season (2017-18) and with the NCAA’s blanket waiver for winter student-athletes, Hoiberg will still have two years of eligibility to utilize at Texas-Arlington.
During his time in East Lansing, Hoiberg appeared in 41 career games with 1 start. He scored a total of 36 points, dished out 20 assists, collected 8 rebounds and had 3 steals. His lone start at MSU came during a game against Nebraska, which his father, Fred Hoiberg, coaches.
Michigan State ended the 2020-21 season with a 15-13 record.
