Former Michigan State player, coach Henry Bullough dies at age 85

Sad news came from Michigan State Monday that former Spartan player and assistant coach, Henry Bullough, died at the age of 85 on Sunday:

Bullough is also a member of the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame. He started for the Spartans from 1952-54 as an offensive guard. In 1952, he helped Michigan State win a national championship. Bullough was selected in the fifth round of the 1955 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.

Bullough has a long line of Spartans blood in him, as his son, Chuck, is currently a defensive ends coach. He had two sons play for the Spartans (Shane from 1983-86 and Chuck from 1988-91) as well as three grandsons (Max from 2010-13, Riley from 2013-16 and Byron 2015-18).
After Bullough’s playing days came to a close, he was an assistant at Michigan State from 1959-69 and 1994.
