Former Michigan State WR Jayden Reed has become a vital part of the Green Bay Packers offense, as he is leading the team with 29 catches for 452 yards. On Sunday, he had only 2 catches for 55 yards, but he saved his best for last with a huge 51-yard catch late in the game.

With 1:13 remaining in the game and the score tied at 27, Packers backup QB Malik Willis hit Reed on the deep pass, which put Green Bay at the Jaguars 15. The team knelt the ball a couple of times, and then Brandon McManus came in and hit a game-winning field goal for a 2nd consecutive weekend.

Before being drafted by Green Bay, Reed played the final 3 seasons of his collegiate career at Michigan State after spending 1 year at Western Michigan. During his 3 years in East Lansing, he had 147 catches for 2,069 yards and 18 touchdowns.

He was drafted with the 50th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Packers. He had a very good season in his rookie year, finishing with 64 catches for 793 yards and 8 touchdowns.

The Packers are now 6-2 on the season, and are currently trailing the 6-1 Detroit Lions in the NFC North by half a game.
