Former Michigan TE re-signs with Pittsburgh Steelers, per report

Former Michigan tight end Zach Gentry re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers Saturday, a move for familiarity for a player that has been with the organization since 2019.
Gentry isn’t going to light up the stat sheet, but he’s a dependable blocker and their No. 2 option as a pass-catching tight end behind Pat Freiermuth . Across his career Gentry has totaled 38 receptions for 299 yards. he is still looking for his first NFL touchdown.
As of now, details of the re-signing are unknown.

Gentry came to Michigan as a quarterback, but was transitioned to tight end in 2017. In 2 years, Gentry totaled 817 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
Gentry was drafted in the 5th round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Steelers.
