Former Michigan State defensive back Darqueze Dennard has landed with a new franchise.
On Thursday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a 1-year deal with Dennard. The cornerback spent the 2020 season with the Atlanta Falcons after playing his first six years in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dennard is a former first-round selection, going No. 24 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Michigan State. He has piled up 310 tackles, 27 pass break-ups, 4 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles in his seven-year career in the league.
In the 2020 season, Dennard appeared in eight games for the Falcons and made six starts. He was credited with 36 total tackle, including 28 solo stops. The former Spartan also had 5 pass break-ups.
Arizona waived wide receiver Krishawn Hogan to bring Dennard to the franchise.
