Former Nebraska cornerback Nadab Joseph is officially in the NCAA transfer portal. He left the program in January, but had not put his name in the database.

Rivals.com reported the news on Monday morning. The news comes as the Huskers prepare for the start of spring practice and look ahead to the 2022 season.

Joseph was a 4-star member of Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class. He played in 4 career games with the Huskers during his 2 seasons in Lincoln.

Joseph appeared in 2 games as a true freshman in 2020 and was credited with 1 tackle. He appeared in 2 more contests during the 2021 campaign but did not record any statistics.

Joseph committed to Nebraska out of Independence Community College over offers from several prestigious programs, including Alabama and Georgia. He was the No. 3 junior college prospect for the cycle.

Nebraska is preparing for the fifth season of the Scott Frost era in 2022. The Huskers are looking to respond in a big way after finishing with a 3-9 record in 2021.
