A former Nebraska linebacker is trading in the red and white for the black and gold.
On Saturday, former Huskers linebacker Guy Thomas announced via Twitter that he is committed to Colorado. He had decided to transfer from Nebraska in November 2018. He played in four games last fall.
“I’m blessed and I thank God…Colorado Commit,” Thomas wrote on Twitter.

Thomas finished his Nebraska career with just four tackles, with three coming in the Huskers’ victory over Bethune-Cookman. When he decided to leave the program, he told the Omaha World-Herald “It’s not working out.”
Thomas is a native of Miami, Florida and was a three-star member of Nebraska’s 2017 recruiting class. He used a redshirt in 2017.
Due to NCAA rules, Thomas will have to sit out for one season before being eligible to play, unless he’s granted a waiver. The organization has recently said it will be more strict on granted those waivers, though.
Nebraska and Colorado will meet in Boulder on Sept. 7. The Buffaloes defeated the Huskers in Lincoln last season.
