Two former Nebraska offensive linemen are doing their part to assist victims and first responders who have been affected by the floods in the state.

According to the Omaha World-Herald, former Huskers Spencer Long and Jeremiah Sirles are among a group of people hosting a dinner on Thursday night for flood victims and first responders, as well as volunteers.

Long posted an invitation to those affected by the flood for a special dinner on Thursday night. He made the announcement through his Twitter account:

Long is a Nebraska native and Sirles is from Colorado. Both linemen played for the Huskers in the early 2010s and both are now members of the Buffalo Bills.

According to NPR, heavy rainfall and snowmelt have caused severe flooding in Nebraska, resulting in over $1.3 billion of damage. At least three people have died in the floods, according to the report.

Of the 93 counties in Nebraska, 75 percent have declared an emergency.
