There may have been a lot of Nebraska fans that felt betrayed when Adrian Martinez transferred to Kansas State in December of 2021. He is hoping that fans still have the same love for him as he still has for Lincoln per Riley Gates of 247Sports.

Martinez spent the 1st 4 season of his collegiate career at Nebraska. He compiled 8,491 yards passing and 45 touchdowns in 39 games. Martinez also displayed his running ability in Lincoln, with 2,301 yards rushing and 35 touchdowns on the ground. It looks like Martinez still has some deep connections to Nebraska.

Here’s his message for Nebraska fans at Kansas State’s Big 12 Media Day:

“I’d say the time for reflection isn’t upon us yet, you know,” said Martinez. “I want to wait on that, and hopefully I didn’t burn that bridge,” Martinez said at Big 12 Media Day in Dallas. “I don’t think I did, you know what I mean? I have a lot of love for Nebraska and always will. It’s my alma mater. I mean, shoot, I was there for four years and still have best friends and really close people there. So, in time, we’ll see what that looks like. But I have nothing but love for Nebraska.”
