Former Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah scores first TD of NFL preseason

Former Nebraska standout Ameer Abdullah scored the first touchdown of the 2022 NFL preseason.
NFL action returned with the Hall of Fame Game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars. Abdullah extended the Raiders’ lead with the first TD of the game in the second quarter. The NFL’s official Twitter account shared the video and appreciated the former Husker’s celebration.

Abdullah has been in the NFL since the 2015 season. He got his start with the Detroit Lions. During the 2018 season, he was waived by the Lions and claimed by the Minnesota Vikings. He remained with the Vikings until the 2021 season, when he was released on Oct. 19. Abdullah landed with the Panthers on Oct. 23. He signed with Raiders on March 18.
