Nebraska isn’t exactly known for basketball.
The last finished a season above .500 in 2019 and last found its way to the NCAA Tournament in 2014, when the Huskers lost in the first round to Baylor, 74-60.
The Huskers won just 10 games in 2022, but had one bright spot to write home about: Bryce McGowens.
The 6-foot-7 freshman in 2022 could give anyone in the B1G the business, and was later rewarded for his strong play by being picked No. 40 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets.
On Sunday, McGowens scored his first NBA bucket.

Sure, it was in garbage time, but that’s first of many for the former Nebraska standout. He’ll be playing solid minutes for the Hornets in no time.
