A former Nebraska wide receiver and return man has landed with a new NFL franchise.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that De’Mornay Pierson-El has been signed by the Denver Broncos. He spent the 2020 season on the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad.

Pierson-El also had a previous stop with the Washington Redskins after his time at Nebraska came to an end. He was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft after four seasons with the Huskers.

In four seasons at Nebraska, Pierson-El totaled 100 receptions for 1,309 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 12.1 yards per catch. He also piled up 825 punt return yards, 147 kickoff return yards and scored 3 special teams touchdowns.

Pierson-El will join a Broncos squad that finished 5-11 in 2020.
