Former Ohio State defensive back and NFL starter Bradley Roby was cut by the New Orleans Saints Tuesday afternoon ahead of the NFL’s 4 p.m. roster deadline.
This is a surprising move from the Saints and he’s likely to be a strong signing for whichever team rushes to get him. The former 1st round pick is an NFL veteran, having spent 9 years in the NFL with 3 different teams: Denver, Houston and New Orleans. He was New Orleans’ starter at slot corner last season.
Now, he’ll be heading elsewhere.

And here’s Roby’s response to the news on social media:
Goodluck to my brothers and the Saints fans y’all deserve to be winners ! #WhoDat ⚜️

Roby’s best years are likely behind him, but that doesn’t mean he was not a serviceable NFL starter with New Orleans across the past 2 years. He’s allowed just 2 receiving touchdowns across 27 games in New Orleans, adding 10 pass deflections and 1 interception.
