Johnathan Hankins has been listed as doubtful for the Dallas Cowboys’ upcoming matchup on Thanksgiving Day.

The former Ohio State DL is suffering from an undisclosed illness, and joins a host of other Cowboys teammates that are also sick. The team announced the long list of ill or injured players on Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the New York Giants.

Hankins was actually drafted by the Giants in 2013. He has also spent time with Indianapolis Colts (2017) and Oakland/ Las Vegas Raiders (2018-2022) before joining the Cowboys in 2022.

Before becoming an NFL veteran, Hankins had a standout career at Ohio State, where he played as a true freshman and racked up 16 tackles and a sack that season. In his sophomore year, Hankins started for the Buckeyes and amassed 67 tackles and 3 sacks. By his junior year at Ohio State, the DT was a first-team All-Big Ten Conference selection, and received first-team All-American honors.

The Cowboys play Giants on Thanksgiving at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
